Actin Project
Actin Project
Actin Project is a 590.4446-hectare limestone deposit located in Basay, Negros Oriental. The project is under an exploration permit application consisting of seven (7) meridional blocks. Our first-stage reconnaissance mapping and sampling study indicated a strong potential for high purity limestone in the area.
Location
Located in Barangays Actin and Nagbo-Alao, Basay, Negros Oriental, Actin Project lies on the Southwest Negros Mineral District, a 60km long, 25km wide NW trending belt of exposed batholith known as the Pagatban Intrusive Complex (PIC). Its close proximity to the ocean makes it an excellent logistics location to a potential port in the future.
Exploration
Midan has completed partial reconnaissance mapping and sampling in the project area. 6 out of 9 samples collected during reconnaissance mapping returned assay of over 54.3% CaO with 97% CaCO3 while all samples were white, creamy and buff in color. This indicates the potential for high purity limestone in the area and highlights the potential of limestone suited for manufacturing of high-end industrial products due to its whiteness.
Timeline
With its exploration permit soon to be released, Midan will be conducting its drilling in 2021. Upon the completion of this drilling program, Midan will enter its development stage of the project.
